This blog is about certain texting I see, fun facts and
other texted related things. Personally I'll have to admit that I have and do
text in class. It's a bad habit I know, but sometimes class just gets so
boring. I need to work on that. Any who I experienced something stupid this
past week. I was driving to school a couple days ago, and I was in the right
lane behind this old blue car. It looked like it was made in the 90's. Well we
were really far back because there's a lot of traffic in the morning around this time. About five minutes passed and we
finally got to the top right under the light. I was still behind this blue car
and we all know we can turn right on red if it's all clear. But his girl was just not
going, and it was really frustrating. I was getting a little road rage
honestly. The light finally turned green for us to go, so I'm thinking
"thank goodness!" Then I realize she still isn't moving. Now I was
mad. There was room between her car and the curb for me to squeeze through so
that's what I did. It's funny because she was so far over the line just sitting
there like she was parked. I checked to make sure her hazard lights weren't on.
They weren't. So I pulled up next to her and I finally realize she has her
phone crammed in her face. SHE'S BEEN TEXTING. I was so mad and I just thought
"how stupid could you get." I just shook my head and drove on. I just
wonder when she finally realized when the light was green because when I looked in my mirror she was still there. It makes me laugh
now. So I thought I'd look up some fun facts this week and I got some pretty
interesting ones. They say over 18.5 billion text messages are sent every
month, like wow. The highest peak in texting is between 10:30 and 11:00 pm.
Something interesting I saw was a website said people who text more than
120 text messages a day are more likely to become binge drinkers or drug users.
I just thought that was interesting and wonder how they got that fact. Last
fact that I thought was funny was that it's a fact that 51% of women would
rather receive a text message than a card on special occasions. I'm guilty of
that fact. This generation is all technology so what do people expect? I'll be
observing every little thing when I see someone texting so we'll see what I
come a crossed next week. See ya J
