Adults
There are a lot of joys about texting. I know I enjoy it. Well, sometimes. Do you ever have those people that NEVER leave you alone and you're like come one man. Other than those obsessed people texting is quite fun for me. My mom got my old crappy android phone when I updated mine and it's funny how clueless she is on how to work it. There are a lot of parents that know how to text and are up to date with this genrations technology. Not my mom. She can't even work the blue-ray player. Anyways off subject. My mom is always on me about "stupid teenagers" texting and driving.
I read that 98% of adults that own a phone text and drive and 43% of teens admited texting and driving. That's insane I think. All these adults need to shut there mouth. *laughs to self*. When an adult makes a comment about teens always texting and driving you can rub this fact in their face if you'd like.

Texting and Driving
My main focus for this blog is any situation with texting.
So this week we're going to talk about texting and driving. Here are some
statistics from a website I found called
http://www.textinganddrivingsafety.com/texting-and-driving-stats/.
I'll share some interesting ones with you now. In 2011 23% of auto collisions involved cell phones, that's 1.3 million crashes. If you take your eyes off the road for 5 seconds going 55mph that's the equivalent amount of driving the length of a football field. That's insane! 82% of Americans ages 16-17 own cell phones 52% say they have talked on the phone while driving and 34% say they've texted while driving. That's pretty scary I’d say. So in my history class last year my teacher asked the class with a raise of hands who has texted while driving and an incredible 95% of us raised our hands including me. We all looked around the room in shock. I have changed my ways. Is a text that important you have to endanger yourself and those around you? Think about it.

Awkward part 2: Photo

Third wheeling it, definitely an awkward situation. http://izismile.com/2013/01/25/some_experiences_of_the_third_wheel_36_pics-7.html |
Awkward.
This week on texting is about awkward situations. I was at
the mall with my friends and we were all at the food court. I needed to use the
bathroom and so I went by myself surprisingly. You know how we girls are.
Anyway, I was walking back and this none interesting fellow stopped me, and we
had the most awkward conversation I ever had. So I started to pretend to text
and slowly work my way away from this guy but he wouldn't leave me alone unless
I gave him my number. So, I just ran away. Moral of this story is, for one
never go to the bathroom alone and more importantly, I feel like almost
everyone pretends to text in awkward situations and it’s pretty funny to me. I
bet when you read this you could definitely think back to when you pretended to
text in an unpleasent situation.
